Columbus Lorenzo "C. L." Whittington is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Prairie View A&M University for one season in 2003, compiling a record of 1?10. Whittington played college football at Prairie View A&M from 1970 to 1973 and then with the Houston Oilers of the National Football League. He is currently the head football coach at South Houston High School.
