Description
Enos Bradsher Slaughter, nicknamed "Country", was an American Major League Baseball right fielder. During a 19-year baseball career, he played from 1938?1942 and 1946-1959 for four different teams, but is noted primarily for his time with the St. Louis Cardinals. He is best known for scoring the winning run in Game Seven of the 1946 World Series. Slaughter has been elected to both the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum.
