Richard Daniel Sauveur is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher. He played during six seasons at the major league level for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and Oakland Athletics. He was drafted by the Pirates in the 5th round of the secondary phase of the 1983 amateur draft. Sauveur played his first professional season with their Class A Watertown Pirates in 1983, and his last with Oakland and their Triple-A Sacramento River Cats in 2000. Sauveur currently serves as pitching coach for the Pawtucket Red Sox. Richard Daniel Sauveur is currently the pitching coach of Aguilas Cibae�as in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League which is one of the best and tough Baseball league in Latin America.
