Georges Niang is an American basketball player with the Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team. He attended the Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire and was considered one of the top high school players in the entire East Coast. Niang was most notably named to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team in his freshman 2013 year for the Cyclones. He also had one of the finest rookie seasons in school history, averaging 12.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. In the second round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament, Niang broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, forcing him to sit for the remainder of the event.
