Nikita Nesterov is a Russian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League as a prospect for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. Nesterov was selected by the Lightning in the 5th round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Nesterov was also drafted by Traktor Chelyabinsk who selected him in the 1st round of the 2010 KHL Junior Draft. He played two seasons with Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. On April 30, 2013, Nesterov was signed to a three-year entry level contract by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
