Simone Stortoni is an Italian professional road bicycle racer who last rode for UCI ProTeam Lampre-Merida. Born in Chiaravalle, Stortoni has competed as a professional since the 2009 season, competing for the CSF Group-Navigare team until the end of 2011, when he joined the Lampre-ISD squad for the 2012 season. Stortoni has competed in three Grand Tour events, contesting the Giro d'Italia in both 2010 and 2011 before making his Tour de France d�but in 2012. At his first Giro, Stortoni finished second during stage eight, after being the closest challenger to Chris Anker S�rensen on the climb to Monte Terminillo.
