Description
Connie Regan-Blake is an American storyteller and author who has been awarded the Circle of Excellence in 1996 by the National Storytelling Network after being recognized by her peers as a master storyteller. She is a regular performer at the National Storytelling Festival. She is best known as one of the "Folktellers", a traveling storytelling duo consisting of Regan-Blake and her cousin, Barbara Freeman. The group was formed in 1975 and traveled the country by bus for many years.
Connie Regan-Blake performed in Jonesborough, Tennessee at the International Storytelling Center on June 25, 2010. She presented the story of a trip to Uganda. She spoke of Beads for Life a non-profit group helping women out of poverty. The women make jewelry of paper and each piece is handmade.
