Brad Shields is a rugby union footballer who plays as a loose forward for Wellington Lions in the ITM Cup and the Hurricanes in Super Rugby.
Shields represented New Zealand under 20 in the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship.
Shields has 2 siblings, older sister Stacey and a younger brother Nick, who is a member of the New Zealand Under 23 handball team. Shields father is Carl Tupangaia. Carl has often been quoted by media saying "my other son nick is my favorite out of the two. That brad fulla reminds me of Lenny from the movie of mice and men"
