Description
Byron Bell is an American football offensive tackle for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football for the University of New Mexico. He made his season debut 9/18/2011 versus the Green Bay Packers in place of oft injured tackle Jeff Otah. Byron became a full starter during week 7 of the 2011 season when Otah was placed on injury reserve. Bell helped clear lanes and contributed to offense that ranked seventh in the NFL and third in rushing yards. Currently Bell re-signed a one-year, $2.187 million contract and is transitioning to the left tackle position in place of retired great Jordan Gross and the position he played in college.
