Bengt Johansson is a handball player and coach, playing in the national team 1964-1972, but best known as coach for the Swedish national handball team 1988-2004.
His nickname is Bengan, a common nickname in Sweden for people named Bengt. He is recognizable by his Halmstad dialect. He has invented a special tactic known as Gurkburken, which he pronounces Guekbueken.
During his time as a coach, the Swedish national team, won several international championships, including two World Championships, four European Championships and three silver medals at the Olympic Games.
