Colin Scott is an Indigenous Australian former rugby league footballer of the 1970s and 80s. He played the game at Fullback but could also play Wing. Scott was also a back-up goal kicker for the teams he played with. Scott had been Queensland's regular fullback since 1979 and retained his place for the 1980 State of Origin game, the first ever game played under State of Origin rules. Scott played at fullback for Wynnum-Manly in the Brisbane Rugby League premiership's grand final victory of 1982. Several years' good service in Queensland's state teams spring-boarded Wynnum-Manly's Colin Scott into the Australian Test side for the one-off match against New Zealand in 1983. Despite 25 appearances for his state during his career, Scott did not represent Australia again. By the time the Broncos were admitted to the New South Wales Rugby League premiership, his top class career was all but over and he left the club after only one season.
