Simone Perrotta, Ufficiale OMRI is a retired Italian footballer who used to play as a midfielder for Serie A club Roma. He was a member of the Italian national football team that won the 2006 FIFA World Cup. An energetic and hard-working two-way player, Perrotta was known for his versatility, stamina, box-to-box play and hard running style. He retired on the 29th of June 2013.
