David Florence is a British slalom canoeist who has competed since the early 2000s. He is the current world champion in individual canoe slalom, and pairs canoe slalom, the latter with Richard Hounslow. Florence was the first canoeist since Charles Dussuet, sixty years earlier, to achieve the C-1, C-2 'double' in the same world championships. A double Olympic medalist, he won a silver medal in the men's slalom C-1 at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.; at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London he competed in both C-1 and C-2, winning a silver medal in the C-2 event.
