Valon Berisha is a Norwegian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga. He has previously played for Egersund and Viking in Norway. Berisha is regarded as one of the biggest talents in Norwegian football, having been invited on several trials with Premier League sides at a young age. Despite this, he chose to stay in Norway where he has played top-flight football with Viking since 17-years old. He broke through as a first team regular in 2011, later making his international debut for Norway in January 2012. Berisha's family is of Albanian ethnicity, and moved from Kosovo before he was born. His younger brother Veton plays for Viking.
