Richard Evans is a retired American actor, best known for his work in television.
Throughout his career, Evans has guest starred in television series, such as Wagon Train, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Sea Hunt, Cheyenne, The Rifleman, The Fugitive, Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, The Iron Horse, The Men from Shiloh, Star Trek and Bonanza.
On April 15, 1962, Evans was cast as a young cutthroat, Billy Deal, in the episode "Sunday" of the ABC-WB western series, Lawman. In the story line, Frank Boone desperately demands that he be allowed to take Billy Deal from Laramie, Wyoming, to the Montana Territory, where Boone claims to own land and can receive amnesty for his own past crimes in return for bringing Deal to the gallows. At great risk to himself, Marshal Dan Troop is determined to follow his instructions and send Deal on the Sunday train to answer for another crime in Casper, Wyoming. The clash leads to a gunfight between Boone and Troop.
Evans also played secondary roles in several B-films.
Evans is best remembered for his portrayal of high school teacher Paul Hanley in the ABC soap opera Peyton Place, a role which he played in 1965. [More at Wikipedia]
