Argeo Paul Cellucci was an American politician and diplomat from Massachusetts. A Republican, he served in state's House of Representatives and Senate before being elected the state's lieutenant governor, a position he held from 1991-97 under Governor William Weld. When Weld resigned in 1997 after being nominated US Ambassador to Mexico, Cellucci became acting governor. He then was elected governor in 1998, and served until 2001 when he resigned to become US Ambassador to Canada, a post he held until 2005. In 2011, Cellucci announced he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He died from complications of the disease two years later. [More at Wikipedia]
