Description
Robert Houston is an American actor and filmmaker from California. Houston first became known for his character Bobby in Wes Craven's 1977 horror classic The Hills Have Eyes. He was responsible for editing together the first two Lone Wolf & Cub Japanese action films into a partially rescored, English-dubbed cut called Shogun Assassin in 1980. Houston also wrote and directed several independent films in the 1980s, including the 1984 teen comedy Bad Manners. In 1995 Houston's partner died of AIDS. Houston returned to cinema three years later with his first documentary, Rock The Boat. Houston has become a respected director with his two biggest films, Mighty Times: The Legacy of Rosa Parks in 2002, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2003 and Mighty Times: The Children's March in 2004 which won an Academy Award in 2005.
