Description
Renaldo Major is an American professional basketball player.
Major played collegiate basketball at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, and then Fresno State University, and was signed out of the NBA Development League's Dakota Wizards by the Golden State Warriors to a 10-day contract in January 2007, playing once, against the Los Angeles Clippers. In the summers of 2005 and 2006 he played with the USBL's Dodge City Legend, and in 2005-06 he had stints in the CBA with the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Gary Steelheads.
Subsequently, Major returned to the D-League to play for the Dakota Wizards. He spent time recovering from a surgery to correct a loose valve in his heart that caused him to miss the entire 2007-2008 season. In his first game back, Major scored 19 points in 38 minutes of play.
In 2011, Major joined the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League. The Los Angeles Clippers signed him to a contract for the 2011-12 NBA season, but he was released on December 19, 2011.
Major was signed by the Mexican team Fuerza Regia in August 2012. Later that year he was re-acquired by the Bakersfield Jam. After the D-League season, he signed with the Mets de Guaynabo of Puerto Rico.
