Liam John Tancock is an English backstroke swimmer who specializes in the 50m and 100m events. He holds the world record in the 50m backstroke, has become a three-time world champion and a five-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. He competed in the Olympic Games in 2008 but did not earn a medal.
