He spent most of his professional career with Fiorentina, appearing in 224 official games over the course of seven seasons, and is primarily known for his aerial ability and his adeptness at sliding challenges.
An Italian international in the late 2000s, Gamberini represented the country at Euro 2008 and the 2009 Confederations Cup.
