Description
Ian McCulloch is a Scottish actor and screenwriter.
McCulloch is best known for his role as Greg Preston in the post-apocalyptic TV series Survivors. Though he debuted in the second episode, "Genesis", Greg would become the male lead for the first and second series. Survivors is set in England during the aftermath of a plague that has wiped out most of the world's population. Along with Abby Grant, Preston searches for survivors of the plague in order to rebuild civilization. McCulloch wrote the episodes "A Friend in Need", "A Little Learning", and "The Last Laugh".
McCulloch's role on Survivors has since garnered the actor cult status, as have starring roles in the Italian horror films Zombie Flesh Eaters a.k.a. Zombi II by Lucio Fulci, Zombi Holocaust by Marino Girolami, and Contamination by Luigi Cozzi. The UK release of Zombie Flesh Eaters was delayed as part of the 1980s campaign against "video nasties". McCulloch stated that he did not see the film in its entirety, or on a big screen, until years later.
