Andrew Jason Lorraine is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1994-2002. He also played for the La New Bears in Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League. Lorraine's family name was originally Levine; but his grandfather, who served with the British army in Alsace-Lorraine, liked the name Lorraine so much he took it as his own. Andrew's father emigrated from England, where Andrew's uncle is an orthodox rabbi. In his six-year major league career, he pitched for the California Angels, Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, and Milwaukee Brewers. He is currently the pitching coach for the Clinton Lumberkings.
