Mollie Katzen is an American chef, cookbook author and artist. She is best known for her vegetarian cookbook, the Moosewood Cookbook, inspired by the Moosewood Restaurant she helped create, but left in 1978 "amid some bitter accusations that she had appropriated group recipes as her own." She later authored and illustrated several other best-selling vegetarian cookbooks, including The Enchanted Broccoli Forest, Still Life with Menu, and Vegetable Heaven and Sunlight Cafe; three children's cookbooks
